Vendor Terms
1. Becoming a vendor
To sell on Sokoni you must complete vendor registration, provide accurate business details, and pass KYC verification (company registration, VAT number where applicable, and bank account for payouts). Sokoni may approve or reject applications at its discretion.
2. Commission and fees
Sokoni charges a commission on each sale (default 15%, category rates may apply). Optional paid placement on homepage banners and category highlights is billed separately. Commission is deducted before vendor payout.
3. Listings and pricing
You must list accurate descriptions, images, stock levels, and prices inclusive of VAT where you are VAT registered. Misleading listings breach the CPA and may result in suspension.
4. Fulfilment and returns
Vendors dispatch orders within the stated handling time. You must honour CPA return rights and cooperate with Sokoni on disputes. Repeated poor performance affects your seller rating and visibility.
5. Payouts
Settlements are calculated after payment confirmation. Payouts are made to your verified bank account on a regular schedule (typically weekly), minus commission and any chargebacks.
6. Prohibited products
You may not sell illegal goods, counterfeit items, weapons, unlicensed medicines, or products that violate South African law. Sokoni may remove listings without notice.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate with notice. Outstanding orders must still be fulfilled. Sokoni may suspend vendors immediately for fraud or serious policy breaches.
