Sokoni ("we", "us") operates the Sokoni marketplace in South Africa. We process personal information as a responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone (optional), password hash
• Order and delivery details: address, payment reference (not full card data)
• Support and chat messages when you contact us
• Technical data: device, browser, IP address, cookies for session and cart

3. Why we use your information

• To create and manage your account and process orders
• To communicate order updates and respond to support requests
• To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations
• With your consent, to send marketing (you may opt out anytime)

4. Sharing with third parties

We share data only as needed: payment processors (PayFast/Ozow), couriers for delivery, vendors for fulfilment of your order, and service providers who host our platform. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Your POPIA rights

6. Security and retention

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. We retain order records as required for tax and consumer law, then delete or anonymise data when no longer needed.
